Much to come.

I haven't posted anything lately about DEL because I've also been in production of 5 other stories.

I've spent most of my time dealing with insurance companies about auto repair and in the process, being an introvert allows me to break away and write when I'm free.

My current books are:
Dawn's Early Light
Bloodlines  (DEL spinoff)
An untitled medieval noval
Origin
Mama's Dusty
Dreamer(title pending)

Yes none are up on shelves yet and only one is in the editing phase but soon all of them will be on book shelves I hope.

Until then, I am contemplating posting a link to another blog where I'll be sharing short stories, just to clear some clutter from my noggin.
Let me know what you guy's and gal's think?

Into the dark

To be honest some of my best works have come from dreams. Of course being an unpublished writer I know that I'm not known outside my editor and few people I've had proof my work.
This blog is dedicated to D.E.L. and I want to keep it that way, as such I post about things like I did with 'Difference between' to show a human side to my reclusive introvert writer lifestyle.
My dreams are another medium for that which I get ideas, In book one I show a darker side to the protagonist to get a reaction from the reader, that scene is from a dream in that the dream showed me the protagonist doing these aweful things and I had to watch, more like a nightmare. That is what people liked about the story, that it goes from one end of the spectrum to the other in such pace that it flowed together and ends with the reader(s) stepping back and saying 'Ok, there's something missing to this story that led up to this guy doing these awful things, where does it tell us why?'
After getting feedback from 10 or so people about that chapter I opened the gate a bit more to the darkness of the story. It's more than apocalypse 101, it's seeing how much is too much then maybe we open the flood gates 100%.
Dreams are the best stories...

Difference between

I am one of the kinds of writers who would, and does, sit in their mind in their own imaginary work space and watches the world pass by, just taking it in and then letting their creative mind take it to work it's magical powers that have passed down from the story tellers of ancient times unto the writers of less ancient times when we went from words around the nights fire and painting on walls, to coal and parchment to quill and paper then to the pen and thus the keyboard. I sit by and watch you live your busy life and sip my coffee and watch as dozens of stories fly by in attempt to catch my attention so it will be put on paper and shared with the world. Not just you, you there reading this, not just you. But instead all of God's creation, the weather, sets scene, the atmosphere set's the mood, the body's motions tell the character's story and then it begins. You sit there reading the blog of an aspiring writer, sip your coffee and return to the words, feeding the eye's that which they desire. At the table, under a hanging light in a café, alone but not. No, you are telling your own story and it fits a certain way into the world of a writer, you live and work for pleasure, you enjoy your life of living on a research station orbiting an uncharted world and studying you're notes from your resent tests conducted on the plant life that inhabits a small volcanic island below your station. You sip your favorite beverage from your home world 9078.53 light years from where you are in this universe now. You look through the observation screen and see the world below you and stare in awe at the majesty.

There are a great many miles between your world and mine my friend, the bridge that connects them is fragile and weak.
Although I am somewhat an introvert, I come out of my sanctuary to observe the society that inhabits this existence to pick ideas from it.
Don't worry for the reclusive introvert writer, simply continue to exist in this story, learn to look at life differently, and carry on.

To see the world as a writer would, in my opinion, simply be that you see every alternate story all at once and pick what interests you the most. To see every story from start to finish in a heartbeat.

I'm a simple writer, and you, you're a character in a story, waiting to be told.

Days gone by

I have all but finished the draft of book one but seriously need to finish book two, there are ideas popping in left and right so this story needs to be written first.
Tieing up loose ends before ending the second book then making more to foreshadow things to come.

Setting the stage

Dawn's Early Light © is based during the event's following the disappearance of cities around the world that would become known first as the Vanishing then later religious leaders lead those left behind to believe it was the Rapture. After the Rapture took the cities, the world's government power's plunged into disarray in what is known as the Fall.
The world became an apocalyptic free for all where evil, chaos and injustice reign supreme and prey on the weak and just.
The story circulates around a young man (Josh) who was displaced from his family during the early days of the Fall and after months of searching for them, he takes up refuge in a family home in hopes that his family would return to find him.
Josh's life is made increasingly more difficult as he struggles with the fruits born from his neurological disorder, randomly hampering his ability to care for himself, then a voice calling for help over the radio sends him spiraling into the chaos that has consumed the world.
Over time Josh decides to continue his search for his family, eventually coming to settle in Texas and start a new thriving community.
But in this new world, peace never lasts.
