Setting the stage

Dawn's Early Light © is based during the event's following the disappearance of cities around the world that would become known first as the Vanishing then later religious leaders lead those left behind to believe it was the Rapture. After the Rapture took the cities, the world's government power's plunged into disarray in what is known as the Fall.
The world became an apocalyptic free for all where evil, chaos and injustice reign supreme and prey on the weak and just.
The story circulates around a young man (Josh) who was displaced from his family during the early days of the Fall and after months of searching for them, he takes up refuge in a family home in hopes that his family would return to find him.
Josh's life is made increasingly more difficult as he struggles with the fruits born from his neurological disorder, randomly hampering his ability to care for himself, then a voice calling for help over the radio sends him spiraling into the chaos that has consumed the world.
Over time Josh decides to continue his search for his family, eventually coming to settle in Texas and start a new thriving community.
But in this new world, peace never lasts.
